Rouxxor 1767

I continue two project: a thematic building around each contract and a plundge into alep cards. With the last alliance I have to choose wich are the mens and the elves from this ancient friendship. The elvish part seem clearly to be identified as the Noldor part of the elvish. Even more since Elrond himself was part of the battle. On the human part either Dunedan or Gondor can represent the descendant from the glorious Numenoriens. I already started with gondor who seem to be a more easy and powerful choice. Now I continue with Dunedain

But in fact I am way more enthousiastic about this deck that I was with the gondor. With alep Dunedain gains very powerful generic allies and the neutral aragorn and his thematic is quite interesting too. Combined with the doomed/thorongil for loraragorn part it is a powerful engine. Noldor is more the support, having access to draw/threat reduction/resource production in a small but regular amount and that feed the contract. It is not as powerful as other decks may but it is quite decent.

I'm guessing you use Thorongil to fetch Aragorn given the doomed cards. If that's the case, though, what Title do you intend to start Aragorn off with? I'd assume Elessar for the resource icon, though Heir of Mardil could also work for that. The reason I ask is because it honestly feels unnecessarily janky to me; Nenya provides much easier access to , and if the doomed events aren't too central to the deck than you could swap them out for Nenya, Unexpected Courage to ready Galadriel for her ability, and either Elrond's Counsel to provide additional threat control or extra copies of Estel to help turn duplicate uniques or Elven-light into more useful cards.

It is not about the deck. Doomed cards are among the best cards in the game so if I can play them without suffer from it I take it with great pleasure. The only question is to play with the optional errata from alep who prevent to play any doomed card twice in the round (and it is really made about legacy of numenor and deep knowledge, all the others are fine).

I don't know how many time you experience one or multiple legacy of numenor on turn one but it scrap the game since you can play many cards, compare to it a nenya/unexpected courage doesn't really compete.

Estel is cute but only work in the mid or late game, so it doesn't help to get the cards for the first turn(s).
