The intention of this deck was to have Barliman Butterbur serve up all of the drinks of Middle Earth. On the menu, we have: Ent Draught, Half-pint, Pint, and Miruvor.
A noble intention and a surprisingly strong deck...

This deck is all about loading Barliman Butterbur up with and then taking as many attacks undefended as possible. This allows lots of good things:
- You can commit to questing hard
- Barliman Butterbur draws you cards
- Scheming Staddler damages up the bad guys attacking
The Last Alliance works to help reduce costs and can be used effectively with Entmoot to draw Ent & Bree cards. It can also be used to with Wellinghall Preserver to do extra healing on Barliman Butterbur when needed. To be sure 1st turn Wellinghall Preservers are great!
Put your first Ent Draught on Barliman Butterbur and the second on Treebeard. You will want to get a Self Preservation or Pint on Barliman Butterbur as soon as you can, as you want him taking damage.
This deck is a little slow to start because of the Ents coming in exhausted. But being able to take undefended attacks allows you to build and then destroy. This works well in single-player.
I played this a bunch at the 2023 Con of the Rings and it did great in multi-player. It is nice because there are very few duplicate uniqueness issues with other decks. And it is a good all-around deck. It can quest, defend, and attack when the need is there. (I even got a chance to bring Barliman Butterbur into Prancing Pony, and he found the murderer! That Johnny Goblin-fingers!!!)
