This deck was constructed for "A Shadow of the Past" encounter deck.
It's a straight up and deck just a turn on the usual suspects - Éowyn rather than core and Beregond rather than .
Gimli gives good fight when you bulk him out with damage and Éowyn's one time ability proves helpful against the high toughness Nazgul. Link her up with Snowmane and you got a solid quester and a one-time nuke at your disposal.
Beregond plays the solid defender as per usual. Pair him up with Horn of Gondor for a little resource acceleration and chump block with those little cards; Westfold Outrider, Westfold Horse-breeder and Gondorian Spearman.
Use some of those Baggins resources to power The One Ring or alternatively save them up for Gandalf. Gandalf works best as a card draw here as you got plenty of heavy hitters in Gimli and Éowyn.
A nice strategy to bear in mind for "Shadow" is to call out Gandalf just before finishing the first quest card and leave him free for the inevitable Hide test. Keep you ally count low unless you can afford to lose a few in the second part of the quest.
