Equip Beregond with Unexpected Courage to defend against more than 1 enemy. Citadel Plate will keep him more safe and Spear of the Citadel will meke easier to kill enemies with Aragorn or Glorfindel.
Light of Valinor is good because you can quest with Glorfindel and attack on the same round, and he's very good at both normal and battle quest. Keep an eye on your and use Aragorn effect to reset it. Gandalf, Elrond's Counsel and The Galadhrim's Greeting can be used too.
Your heroes can take damage pretty easy on this quest, so Daughter of the Nimrodel and Lore of Imladris can literally save your life.
