This is a solo deck geared towards keeping threat low to turtle while building up Beregond and getting a strong questing team into play. As long as you can tread water with the threat in the staging area, once you've got Armored Destrier and Gondorian Shield on Beregond, and ideally Arwen Undómiel in play, Beregond should be able to handle most defense. Denethor can be built up as a secondary defender, and is usually my first choice for Protector of Lórien. Glorfindel, Quickbeam, and Eryn Galen Settler provide the attack power needed to knock out most enemies.

You really want a turn 1 Steward of Gondor, and should mulligan if you don't find it. Erestor's card draw makes it very likely to show up by turn two if that doesn't work. Note that you will generally only need 6 total leadership resources throughout the game, so you should frequently be sending Denethor's to Beregond.
