WARNING: This deck is fun, and very powerful in the early game, but is not for the faint of heart.

Contracts have definitely been one of my favorite types of cards from the recent expansions. I love the idea of using a contract and tuning a deck just right to be able to fit it. But today is a special day. Today, I can no longer only use one contract to make overly powerful decks......... I can now use 2!

Thanks to the new card: Beyond the Original Bargain, My decks can have 2 contracts at the penalty of +4 starting threat. So here is a rough draft of my first attempt of a deck with 2 contracts.

Starting Threat: Beregond (10) + Prince Imrahil (11) + (MotK) Faramir (8) +8 for At the End of All Things +4 for Beyond the Original Bargain = 41 starting threat. I thought I would put this down, because it can be complicated.

Round 1:

-Mulligan for Steward of Gondor. We are using At the End of All Things, but Faramir is immune to all the effects because he is not one of these two starting heroes.

-If possible, get an Envoy of Pelargir so you can put the attachment on him on round 1. If you can't do it round 2.

-questing with Prince Imrahil is an option. you can use At the End of All Things to have Beregond defend twice, and that will get your threat lower.

Round 4:

-If you do not have any of these, flip At the End of All Things to get them:

-unexpected courage (for Faramir),

-DĂșnedain Remedy (for healing),

-Visionary Leadership (more questing) and if you want,

-Need Drives Them (always nice to have)

It should be fair sailing from here on. please let me know if there are any good ideas or cards that I forgot. I hope you enjoy this deck, and look forward to what you other contract lovers come up with.

Opps. I overlooked Beregond's text box. You can only use him to reduce your threat by one once a round. But still, five defense and five hit points, and being able to defend twice on round one isn't bad.

i think it was not meant this way that you could "cheat in" a 3. hero at the start as At the End of All Things was designed. perhaps this option was overlooked at creating Beyond the Original Bargain

Note that we introduced a change to the wording of Messenger of the King, since It was hard to combine It properly with our intent for Beyond the Original Bargain. You can find that new wording in the Free to Choose List of the ALeP FAQ Page in our website. With that new wording you can mix At the End of All Things and MotK, but the MotK hero will basically substitute ome of the two AtEoAt Heroes, not be used in addition to It.

As Always the FTCL Is optional, Just now that this Is not the intent we were having for this contract.

OK. Thank you for letting me know about this edit. I did not know of the existence of this FAQ page before.
