Goal
Deck with just revised core cards to beat Across the Ettenmoors, ideally with heroes Éowyn, Glorfindel, and Eleanor.
Selected cards
- Beorn: Strong ally can be brought in with Stand and Fight, once discarded using Éowyn or Protector of Lórien.
- Faramir: Valuable ally that can also be brought in with Stand and Fight. In particular, questing rapidly through Stage 2 and 3 is helpful.
- Henamarth Riversong: Always valuable in solo, especially when you want to turtle a bit in Stage 1.
- Unexpected Courage: Quite handy on either Eleanor or Glorfindel.
- Protector of Lórien: Useful for extra blocking on Eleanor or to do a mega quest in Stage 2 and 3.
- The Galadhrim's Greeting: A bit of stage one turtling and avoiding enemies is often a legitimate strategy. So this can be helpful solo
- Gléowine: Good for card draw, or card can be used for additional willpower.
- Stand and Fight: this is the tool to bring in Faramir
General approach
Probably the main key is to work out a way to go a bit slow and build up forces in the early rounds. Generally, once you clear the second side quest, Stage 1 will clear. Some side quests are easier to live with in Stage 1.
Éowyn and Glorfindel are strong questers. Healing with Glorfindel can be handy to limit number of characters with damage.
Performance
This deck is 3 wins for 3 plays. That said, the quest is not too difficult.
Possible Tweaks
Perhaps 3 Faramir and 1 Beorn would be better, given how critical big questing is in Stage 2 and 3. Perhaps Henamarth Riversong should be 3 copies given how useful that ally is.
