I've always liked eagles, but decks focused on them are greedy, and you don't really have so many of them to cover all game aspects, that's why they need some help.

And who can arrive to save the day? Yes, Hirgon, the bearer of The Red Arrow... (I don't think eagles would really like arrows normally, but... they will like this one)

This deck is about sinergies. Hirgon and Mablung are our main resource generators. Hirgon isn't strictly a resource generator, but his ability acts as if it was. Then, we have a lot of expensive allies. Vassals of the windlord discard after attacking (also are good chumpblckers), which readies Prince Imrahil, allowing him to attack the bastard eagle-killer who is attacking us.

Squires of the Citadel are great if we have a Horn of Gondor attached to Hirgon. They die, Imrahil readies, and we get 2 resources for that.

Grimbold is another trick to ready Imrahil at will, as they are Sneak Attack's (which we can use to activate the Responses of Gandalf, Descendant of Thorondor, or even Gwaihir). Also, putting a big ally into play for 1 resource, is a great for A Very Good Tale. Let's imagine we exhaust 2 Descendants of Thorondor with A Very Good Tale, and we discard Gwaihir, and another big eagle which is too expensive to be put into play...

Don't worry, discard it, then put it into play with Gwaihir's response, and put it into your hand at the end of the round.

The deck is full of tricks and sinergies amongst cards, which made them very consistent, and very fun to play.

Cool deck and a good solution to the problem with Eagles decks. One other problem I've found when playing Eagles decks is that they lack card draw. Do you find you run into situations where you have lots of resources but nothing to spend them on? How do you get around this?

Sometimes it happens. But usually Gandalf, plus Valiant sacrifice are just enough card draw for the deck.

I'm still testing though. I want to try how Rod of the Steward fits in the deck. Anyway , it is designed for multiplayer, so I want to keep Steward of Gondor, which is obvious to be paired with Rod, far from the deck.

Another cool deck. Thanks for posting!

Hirgon is a great hero for Eagle decks he makes a really nice use out of Descendant of Thorondor. I like to have Meneldor's Flight in there for maximum usage.

Meneldor's flight is great, but I prefer Born Aloft, as I can use it to recycle Gandalf.
