A slightly silly deck that is based around Thurindir's ability to benefit from side quests and Strider's ability to let him quest without exhausting. With Sam Gamgee as the second hero the starting of the deck is 16. Always choose Gather Information as the quest in your setup hand, and then mulligan for Strider. The aim is to play Gather Information to get whatever you need to get the deck rolling with at least 2 side quests completed. With Strider on Thurindir and 2 finished side quests he's questing for 6 on his own.
The deck has expensive allies, but most should be cheated into play using Send for Aid and Timely Aid. Resourceful and The Storm Comes help smooth resources. Combat is not easy, but the paired deck (Hirgon Summons an Eagle) can throw across a Dagger of Westernesse for Sam, and with Fast Hitch and Hobbit Cloak he can defend and attack quite well. Thurindir is usually standing after combat and can add his attack. The best allies to have out (aiming for 3 allies at most to benefit from Strider) are Gildor Inglorion, Treebeard, and Firyal. Northern Tracker helps with location heavy quests, and the others are there to be punchy additions or to aid in the early game to push past side quests (East Road Ranger especially). Warden of Healing offers the only healing between this and the paired deck.
Not top tier, but surprisingly fun, and a solid way to make use of Thurindir's abilities. I think it would work well with almost any good combat deck, and can easily quest for 15 within a turn or two.
