I've been wanting to build with Argalad for sometime. I normally see him paired with Thalin, but I thought to try something a little different. is a little high for this kind of set up but it's been fun to play and haven't come close to threat out. #Out of the Wild gives you some some preemptive ability against encounter cards that you would struggle against.

Damrod + Argalad make up the early damage questing with the benefit of getting damage in with Argalad if you have an enemy. Yo should be able to focus your damage in solo play because of the limited number of reveals per questing/staging step.

The classic combo of Henamarth Riversong+Wingfoot will let you scry and use Haldir of Lórien for questing too Its better to use Henamarth after combat to save him from any direct damage treacheries to exhausted chracters. The primary questers will be the allies, particularly Rivendell Minstrel who serves double duty of snatching Song of Battle if you don't draw it with Damrod. Master of the Forge, or Mithrandir's Advice.

With Song of Battle and Song of Travel give you the missing spheres and our tutored up by Rivendell Minstrel. I choose songs over A Good Harvest because the Minstrel is here. I could agrue Galadhrim Minstrel + Harvest but she only searches the top 5, not the entire deck.

I chose Unexpected Courage over Light of Valinor because I think its better to use Argalad after you reveal, hit an enemy the ready up for combat so you can use his ranged attack across the table. This deck works in solo, but it would be best to supplement a deck thats a in questing and out of the gate, but may suffer in combat.

The buff comes from Bow of the Galadhrim for Haldir(Three for higher draw chance with the extra on Argalad or any silvan character on the table) and Keeping Count between the two silvan heroes. You don't need two right away, just one on Haldir and by the time you get the second his kill count should be sufficient to make a bomb out of Argalad.

Blocking can be done by Defender of the Naith and Silvan Tracker, you may end up chumping. A Defender with a Cloak of Lórien will have three and two plus healing once a round from tracker. I don't expect to have to do that often with the traps and Haldir.

I like it! Interesting use of Keeping Count.

What about Mirkwood Long-knife and Anborn?

I don't have those card sets. If I had Anborn I would drop Erebor Hammersmith. He was my trap recoursion source. I've been buying packs in order of I can but there's so many great things in Sands of Harad.

I don't have those sets. I was buying the sets in order but may buy Sands of Harad early. If I had Anborn I could half my traps possibly and drop Erebor Hammersmith.

Nice! I was thinking of including Expecting Mischief in my Argalad/Fastred deck. Probably should. You should try this deck against Into Ithilien. I had a good time on that one with a mono-Lore Haldir deck.
