This is a rehash of an older idea that no longer works due to the nerf to Háma. The goal here is to use Wait no Longer as often as possible in solo to avoid all the nastiness of the quest phase. Red isn't great at willpower, but there are enough allies that you should be able to handle the board if it often doesn't get a quest card! Once you have an enemy, you can block with Mablung + Gondorian Shield, or with a plethora of tactics events that make blocking easier or unnecessary. Hama can't recycle forever anymore, but he can recycle your most important events 3 times, and you have a set of Dwarven Tomb and Book of Eldacar to supplement him. Mostly you're cycling Wait no Longer of course, but sometimes you really need Foe-hammer or Feint back.
At no point are you actually in an overpowering position, but you have so many ways of avoiding the two major sources of randomness (quest reveals and shadow cards) that you usually don't need to be that strong. This deck gets a little out ahead of the encounter deck, and then never gives it a chance to catch up.

Feb 23, 2018Huh, I never noticed that before. You're right, the White Council should be there instead. It's actually better too, since you don't need the Song of Travel anymore. |
Feb 23, 2018I'd probably sub out the songs for an extra copy of Bofur, Grimbold, and Oath of Eorl. The combo of Wait no Longer plus Oath of Eorl looks pretty fun, especially in a solo situation; I'll have to try that out. |
Dwarven Tomb only works on spirit cards unfortunately. You might try The White Council instead.
