Double-Bonded

Description

All my Bond of Friendship decks are built with the lowest threat I can manage... until now! There is a danger of dying from threat, but there is a LOT more quest power on the table right from the start, and a decent variety of options for combat. Mostly I am focused on Gimli as the defender, with Inner Strength + Dwarven Shield + Livery of the Tower for defense, and Steward of Gondor + Dwarven Shield + The Day's Rising for very many moneys.

See individual deck descriptions for other relevant points.

Some things I considered but did not include:

  • Replacing the combat deck's 2x Dúnedain Hunter with 1x Derndingle Warrior and 1x Booming Ent gives that Booming Ent a max of 7.
  • Leaflock would bring it to a theoretical 8, but is much less likely to get damaged.
  • If Glorfindel gets Sword-thain, then he can have Asfaloth.
  • Some way for the combat deck to steal engaged enemies wouldn't hurt, but with four heroes and Éowyn and Glorfindel and 2x Dúnedain Hunter and Narya, the attachment-finder deck should be able to kill one or two enemies now and then.
  • This fellowship runs no Unexpected Courage, instead relying on one Magic Ring and various one-time readying effects. But Mirkwood Long-knife just might be unnecessary with this many allies, and could be replaced.
  • I'm not entirely happy with a few card choices here and there, but I put them in to fill the color quotas. Please put suggestions in comments!
