United against the Dragon

Dwarves together strong. And Gondor always does its part. But the keys here are Eleanor and Balin. Treacheries and Shadows are what gets you in the Battle of Lake town.

Better not be late! Legacy of Númenor first round is a much needed boost. Steward of Gondor goes on Ingold, or else on Balin. Errand-riders help to feed Bifur and Balin. The nice thing about the Longbeard Map-Maker is Stage 2 of the Quest: with Bifur's resources you can exactly determine how much fire you want to extinguish. Unexpected Courage goes primarily on Beregond who defends the Dragon together with Dori (yes, he is very useful in this combo and in this specific quest!). Add in a Gondorian Shield and Beregond does not even once take damage from the strongest of Smaugs. Longbeard Elder is very useful since there are mostly locations in the encounter deck. The Door is Closed! is fed by the locations going to VD as soon as they are explored.
