Mad Morderan 135

This deck works nicely in multiplayer or solo. First order of business is to put Gather Information into your deck with Thurindir's ability. Once you complete it, retrieve Thalion. Since you will already have a side quest in the display at that point, he becomes a bargain ally who can quest and fight. Then look hard for Treebeard. Use whatever means necessary, as you use The Road Goes Ever On to get more quests in the display to beef up Thurindir and Thalion, along with the Legacy Blade and of course to gain the benefits of the Quests themselves!

Usually by mid game I have both Hero Thalion and Treebeard generating resources in order to spew out lots of Ents and other allies. Legacy Blade and Leather Boots work well on Mirlonde or Hero Thalion and Raiment of War works really well on Grimbeorn the Old or Galadhon Archer. Rivendell Bow can work on the elves and Ent Draught and Lembas have both saved my butt more than once.

By end game Thurindir is an insane quester (buffed with Explore Secret Ways), one of the Elves will be devastating on range, and you will have a bunch of heavy hitting Ents. And Grimbeorn the Old is just always good. Often I save resources on him so he can use his really good ability that keeps a lot of heat off the squishy heroes early on. Put some armor on him or Ent Draught and he becomes a tank.

You might be wondering why I chose Grimbeorn the Old over Quickbeam. Mainly because Grimbeorn the Old has better defense and lower threat, and his low is not a problem in this deck. Nevertheless if you wanted to you could trade them out, just add Self Preservation to put on Quickbeam.

What I like best about this deck over my other Ent decks is low starting threat, and I typically use Gandalf to lower it more. This gives the Ents just enough extra time to get going that I didn't have in previous decks. Hope you enjoy this one.
