5er Matte 20

A fun catch all deck that is good at questing and excels in combat of course with the tag-team of Amarthiúl and Halbarad. As with all Dúnedain Decks, being engaged is the best thing that you can do and hopefully with cards like Guardian of Arnor and Feint you can stay one step ahead of the enemy. In the mid to late game Wingfoot will become your best friend, along with the final hero Beravor. This is the first deck that I felt good playing her in and she helped out a lot in getting more cards when needing stabilizing.

If your looking for a deck that is flexible in its game plan, plays into a theme, and looking cool while doing it, this deck is for you.

Nice deck! I usually play with Aragorn instead of Halbarad, but he's good too!

love to see Blade Mastery still being used ;)

Looks interesting, though I do have a few recommendations:

First, as a general formatting rule, I prefer to put cards with the Encounter keyword, like Ranger of the North, in the sideboard to avoid confusion when using the draw simulator.

Second, I'm a bit confused as to how you plan to play Double Back. Dúnedain Message adds it to your hand, not puts it into play, and I'm not seeing any immediately obvious methods of granting your heroes a resource icon to play it from your hand.

For the rest of the deck, I like a lot of it, though there are a few changes I would make, namely adding Heir of Valandil for cost reduction, possibly replacing Weather-stained Cloak and Quick Ears (Quick Ears, in my opinion, is really bad for this deck, as it requires you to exhaust a hero to shuffle away an enemy, an enemy you are primarily built to deal with). If you feel you still want damage cancellation, I would heavily recommend Honour Guard. Also, there are very few Signals for Weather Hills Watchman to fetch; I would either cut the Watchman or, preferably, add more Signals, especially Dúnedain Warning; that card looks like it will turn Amarthiúl into a defending machine. Also, if you have the Dream-chaser cycle, I swear by Armored Destrier, especially in a deck that likes to stay engaged with multiple enemies.

Hi @AlasForCeleborn, thanks for the input, especially for the Signals. The Double Back is in the deck because it costs 0 resources, so you technically don't need a Hero since it cost 0, at least that's how I read the deckbuilding rules and how you spend resources.

That is unfortunately incorrect. This is stated in the "Phase 2: Planning" portion of the rulebook, page 12:

Cards with a cost of zero do not require a resource to be spent in order to pay their cost, but they do require at least one hero under that player’s control to have a resource icon that matches the card’s sphere.

@frozen Thanks! Changes will be made, so I'm NOT cheating lol!
