A Gondor themed deck with absolutely no hint of Thorongil and his friends from Arnor. The Steward's line is strong and needs no usurper.

I'll be playing this in a fellowship with a Rohan deck and maybe a another deck or two at our monthly LOTR LCG get together.

I'll probably be looking out for anything for card draw in my opening hand to get a head start on card advantage (A Very Good Tale, Campfire Tales, Peace, and Thought, Valiant Sacrifice), as well as looking for Heir of Mardil as their are a few ways to gain the occasional resource in this deck, and a fantastically convenient resource from Théodred in the Rohan deck.

The main aim of the deck is to get out allies and keep at least one resource on Boromir. The deck should also work well at using Warden of Healing alot as there are very few other means of spending resources. I have also included a couple of power events (For Gondor!, Mutual Accord) to help the group through any particularly difficult rounds.

If no one else at the table is using it, the first swap I'll be doing is throwing in all three copies of Steward of Gondor, probably in place of some of the other, less efficient, resource support cards (Wealth of Gondor, A Good Harvest). I think the deck is also lacking in , so I would add Visionary Leadership and The Red Arrow if I owned them. I might just ask one of my fellowship buddies to bring a copy of the arrow to help improve the Théodred / Heir of Mardil combo.

"The rule of Gondor is mine! And no other's!"

Pelargir Ship Captain is just better than Guard of the Citadel, fwiw.

I love both the dedication to theme and the multiplayer friendliness of this deck! Campfire Tales is great, and too often overlooked.

Out of curiosity, what do you plan to use Mutual Accord for? I still haven't managed to build a deck where it wasn't a dead card.

@camipco I guess with Guard of the Citadel you could attach Raiment of War, then with Boromir's effect you have an ally with 3 attack, which nothing to scoff at... But probably still not worth the effort. The main reason I haven't added Pelargir Ship Captain is because I don't own him yet.

@Authraw Thanks. This is actually the first time I'll be using anything from the Hunt for Gollum pack as I have only just bought it with FFG's most recent reprint. If we have 3 or 4 players round the table, Campfire Tales is well worth the cost. Mutual Accord will always help the Rohan deck here with attack with Boromir's ability, but it'll be even more useful at boosting stats across both decks if we can combine it with For Gondor!, We Do Not Sleep or Astonishing Speed.
