This deck was made to accompany my husband's combat-focused Dunedain deck while playing the Ringmaker Cycle.

I wanted to make a deck that highlighted the magic of Lorien, and included as many Galadriel themed cards as possible. This deck is focused on low-cost everything and on events. Mulligan for the Mirror of Galadriel to make finding the right cards easy. Second copies of all the important attachments (and Galion after he's served his usefulness) can go to feed the Protector of Lórien, which should be on Rossiel, as can early copies of The Door is Closed! if your Victory Display isn't yet set up. This deck is centered around high questing every turn, but can deal with a few enemies if your accompanying combat-focused deck needs some support. You can easily chump-block, or Rossiel can defend for 4 after the Victory Display is set up (or up to 7 with Protector of Lorien), and with Fair and Perilous, Celeborn can attack for 5 (or 7 with Celebrían's Stone) to take out an enemy engaged with you, while allies quest.

In playing the Ringmaker Cycle, I removed The Long Defeat, but that can be added back in to provide some card draw or more healing for both you and the player across the table in a quest that doesn't penalize cards in hand. I really wanted to use the Silver Harp to provide more regular mitigation for the downside of the Mirror than the occasional Galadhrim Weaver, but you need to have enough resources to bring it out. Likewise, Unexpected Courage is more flexible than The Elvenking, but accruing 2 resources can be a challenge with this deck.

I love the style of this deck! Galadriel and Celeborn can really pump out some great questing power quickly! Just letting you know, Nenya's text reads "Quest Action" so Celeborn can still muster between 5-7 unless you are attacking an enemy during the Quest Phase. But with Orophin you should be able to kill most enemies, but more attack would be good for this deck or just play with another deck that can send some ranged attacks your way.

@Djedi14 Thanks so much for that correction - you're right about that!

@Djedi14 Thanks so much for that correction regarding Nenya! Adding Fair and Perilous was my first attempt to improve the attack on this deck - it was initially tragically incapable of dealing with any enemies.

I've also considering subbing in Saruman, as he has high attack, can quest without exhausting (due to Galadriel), isn't as expensive as Gandalf, and Doomed 3 isn't as big a deal with the decent threat reduction in this deck. Thanks for your thoughts!

With Galadriel i like Grenwood archer and captains wisdom, solving your ranged issues, perhaps and giving Greenwood archer a target for his ability in the planning phase.

@Olander Thanks for your suggestions! I hadn't seen Captain's Wisdom before - it looks great! When I get around to acquiring the Dreamchaser Cycle and The Sands of Harad, I'll look at both those options!
