Mono deck with a very Hobbit-like starting threat. The main goal here is to deal with enemies as less as possible. Discard them, shuffle them back into the deck, prevent them from spawning, good riddance.

I build the deck with fun in mind more than raw power, but on my first try it handled Across the Ettenmoors without batting an eye.

There's no designated defender in the deck, but plenty of chump blockers for when an enemy do get through.

I'd probably give Mirlonde the bling! Just kidding though, Haldan is probably the safer choice. Maybe one copy of Mablung and one copy of Ghan-buri-Ghan can be quite helpful in this type of deck? In any case, it looks awesome! I'll give it a try :)

Thanks for the comment! Both the Forest Road Traveler and the Mirkwood Hunter are newer allies I wanted to test out, dropping them back to two copies to add Mablung and Ghân-buri-Ghân should give the deck a bit more flexibility.

Let me know how it goes for you!

I have a similar idea in the works now that Put Off Pursuit is with us. Minor differences on the allies, the rest is fairly consistent, but I opted for Pippin instead of Mirlonde - threat wise, it's the same really (1 less threat vs +1 engagement cost) but you get the added card draw for engaging an enemy early on. Yes you ideally don't want to engage enemies, but you'll get that occasional super-low threat enemy in some quests that you can't do much about, but are usually easily dealt with.

Good idea. When running Hobbit heroes I like to include some support to boost their hit points, especially since many of the recent quests have been quite efficient in dishing out direct damage to characters. If using Pippin instead of Mirlonde I would probably squeeze in a couple of Boots from Erebor in the deck.

Adding Pippin is probably a good idea. I wonder if finding a spot for 2x Resourceful is a valid option with Mirlonde... Also, 1x Gaffer Gamgee saved my butt against The Massing at Osgiliath.

Gave this deck against Journey Along The Anduin and it won twice. Good work. I didn't think it had enough willpower or defense but it did just enough to trudge along

Newsflash: Thrór's Key just got nerfed, with the new errata it must be discarded to prevent the travel effect. Squeezing in a single Ghân-buri-Ghân just became much more worthwhile.

@Rimogard Gaffer Gamgee rarely fails to do some strong work! I'll have to test it in this deck. As for Resourceful, I think it's really a question of deck space. Currently only Elf-stone fills the resource acceleration niche, further playtesting will determine if it's enough.

@RaiderjakkGood to know! The Mirkwood Explorer needs some time to pick up steam, but in the late game he does wonder to keep the quest going.
