proudfeat 39
Designed for a 3 person fellowship to handle most of the offense, some of the defense, and a little bit of healing. This deck follows a theme: the heroes are comprised of those who are in and around the Last Homely House.
Mulligan for Glamdring or Steward of Gondor. There's a lot of cards to get out and the sooner you can draw them and swing for 5 with Elladan the better; alternatively, Steward of Gondor allows you to start loading up Elrohir with resources.
The Heroes
Elladan does the attacking. He gets Glamdring and Orcrist as well as Rivendell Bow. He will hit like a truck and with almost no other use for his resources except to feed his ability he can focus on offense.
Elrohir does the defending. He gets to be the Steward of Gondor and Heir of Mardil, rides Armored Destrier, and wears Ancestral Armor. The sooner he gets sentinel the better but he will also pay for the attack and defense boosts. Using the resource gain from Steward of Gondor will trigger Heir of Mardil to allow him to ready again.
Elrond is here for his ability and his innately good stats. He's flexible and does not have nor need a whole lot of infrastructure around him to contribute.
The Allies
Errand-rider helps ship resources around to those in need, particularly to one of the twins to better attack or defend or from Elrond to another player. He also receives Mariner's Compass to use his action economy to free up a guarded weapon on a location or to avoid nasty locations.
Master of the Forge sources attachments to get the heroes loaded up, performing this role alongside Heed the Dream and Open the Armory.
Wandering Ent provides a way for Elrond to use his resources and is a cheap, highly effective ally that can be used a variety of ways.
Warden of Healing paired with Elrond is just silly. He heals, and he does it swimmingly. This fella is invaluable.
The Events/Other Attachments
Secret Vigil is cheap and helps with threat management. It's great because you get to place it on whoever you want and count on at least reducing your threat by 2 while marginally helping questing.
Self Preservation goes on Elrohir. He'll have absurd defense but this can be a stopgap in case you're having trouble getting his defensive attachments on him OR if need drives him to be an archery sink.
Woodmen's Path I will never not include this if I have a hero. It's just so useful all the time.
Proud Hunters was made for Elrond's twins. resource generation that can go on Elladan, or even Elrond if you choose to attack with him.
Closing Thoughts
Questing is a bit of a problem with this deck, unsurprisingly. There's some help from Elrond and the ents but by and large you're going to need your fellowship to pick up some of the slack. Healing your fellowship's characters, some token resource movement, and stacking orc bodies should keep you in their good graces though.
