Finally, we have an eagle hero and I think he pairs perfectly with Radagast. Gwaihir doesn't ready during refresh? Doesn't matter! You will play one eagle in the planning phase either way to trigger Radagast ability.
But this requires some card draw. Stone of Elostirion, The Eagles Are Coming! and Daeron's Runes are helping directly. Meneldor's Flight, Gwaihir's Debt and Flight of the Eagles in a more subtle way. I decided against the combo Messenger Raven+Wizard Pipe as I do not want to rely on a combo for card draw. In addition, it requires a lot of card slots in the deck and Messenger Raven does not trigger Gwaihir
One real advantage of pairing Radagast with Gwaihir is that you can play Gwaihir's Debt right from the beginning.
Wilyador is the perfect target for Meneldor's Flight and Flight of the Eagles. Played at the right time, Gwaihir readies when he is needed.
Use Word of Command to search for Radagast's Staff. This is the resource acceleration needed for this rather expensive deck.
We use this deck paired with a Erestor-Noldor deck. These work really well together.
