Intro: My goal was to build a deck to beat the Shadows of Mirkwood Cycle. Mission accomplished.
Strength:
- Great quest progress
- Denethor brings predictability
- Decent defense
- Able to keep the threat low (The Galadhrim's Greeting/Gandalf's Search)
Weakness:
- Low attack, hard to beat strong enemies
- Low Hit Points, weak against strong treachery cards
Best Combo/Cards
- Denethor or Henamarth Riversong & Expecting Mischief - great combination mainly for weak/surge encounter cards
- Forest Snare key card for this deck in order to get rid of strong enemies
- Escort from Edoras & The Riddermark's Finest - great for quest progress
- Unexpected Courage & Denethor - brings defence & predictability
Medium/Low Cards:
- Erebor Hammersmith - never used his ability
- Hasty Stroke - rarely used
- Secret Paths - rarely used
- Radagast's Cunning - rarely used
Final Thoughts: From the cards I have so far, this is one of the best deck. Against strong enemies I was able to keep my threat low and bring allies to the fight. The biggest advantage was Denethor ability which I used most of the time.
