The One Ring is for Gimli. A better defender right from the start, with Inner Strength, or give the deck MUCH more quest power with Power of Command.
With eight traits among these heroes, the presence of any Ent, Beorning, Dunedain, Istari, Healer, or a Rohan Minstrel allows the play of The Free Peoples. The only allies that DON'T activate it are Angbor the Fearless, Arwen Undómiel, Galadriel, and Ingold; and they're all here for Important Reasons. (Fun fact: if using Aragorn in place of Mablung, Steward of Gondor or Ingold grant the ninth trait - but Dúnedain Hunter doesn't.)
Ent Draught is specifically for Beechbone. Leather Boots is for Faramir of course. Livery of the Tower is for Gimli, but only after he has Steward of Gondor. All of these here instead of the attachment deck, to be held until they can be played.
