This deck has one simple, nearly impossible goal...

Find a use for Brok Ironfist.

Of course, I am slightly joking, no card is completely useless. However Brok nearly makes an exception for this rule. First off, HE COSTS 6 RESOURCES! That is absurd with only 2 being his best stat. Bilbo Baggins and Ethir Swordsman both have equal questing power for a third the cost. However, some might argue that his 4 and 2 make him worthwhile. He could be useful for archery I guess but if you want health look to Anfalas Herdsman to boost the swordsman or Erebor Hammersmith for the dwarves. There are so many better options available. At least he has the partial excuse of being in the core set.

Now to address his ability. In a typical situation, the circumstances required for his ability are unfavorable... literally losing a hero. Not to mention, that hero has to be a dwarf. Consequently, Brok is more of a backup plan if things go south. However, I prefer having a card that will prevent my heroes death rather than simply clogging my hand until they die. In addition, for such a specific and unfortunate circumstance, Brok does very little to help only giving me a weak, should be 3 cost ally.

This deck is designed to make losing a dwarf hero purposeful and beneficial. First, Caldara is one of the few heroes who you want to leave play. However, she is unfortunately not a bearded miner, but instead a fair maiden. This calamity can be solved by adding in The Last Alliance to make Brok enter after a gondor hero leaves play. With Prince Imrahil (the better Brok) to clog the hero hole, we now have a reasonable way to get Brok Ironfist into play. Now just the simple task of making the deck any good.

I chose Dáin Ironfoot and Lothíriel as my heroes. Dain provides consistent discard for Caldara and is better than his purple double in the early game. However in a dwarf deck, leadership Dáin Ironfoot is a better choice down the road. Thorongil solves this issue and adds access to King Under the Mountain and A Very Good Tale. Lothíriel provides my favorite combo with Caldara bringing in Prince Imrahil to become a permanent hero and never return. The same trick can be done with Sneak Attack here instead. She also provides some much lacking willpower.

Overall this deck is untested and lacks attacking power. However, it is a good response to a stupid problem.

No offense, Brok Ironfist but you still suck. ;)
