its more a fundeck to play (MotK) Bill the Pony (i am tinkering a series of heroes of the saga who can start with a motk-version of themselfes, bill can start, but have no hero-version to upgrade)
its a decent deck, mulligan for Timely Aid and Drinking Song or Peace, and Thought, so you can play Timely Aid as fast as possible. with 2 expensive allies tell them A Very Good Tale and hope for more.
if you get at least 1 Resourceful out, you can pay for the neutral 4-cost-allies in 1 round.
try to keep secrecy with (sneaked) Gandalf and let the allies do the big things.
if you want it slight more effective, replace (MotK) Bill the Pony with (MotK) Halfast Gamgee then you have 1 resourse more from the start and can use mono-hobbitthings like The Shirefolk but then the great story of hero (MotK) Bill the Pony remain untold....

Mar 23, 2022to be honest, the card is no attachement. it will be attached, but, the backside has the "contract" tag and not "attachement". this seems not only relevant for bill it cannot also be removed by cards that remove attachements |

Unfortunately I fear Bill the Pony is not a very good target for Messenger of the King since he cannot have attachments and thus the contract will not make it a hero (though it will still increase your starting threat). On the other hand this means you have only 2 Hobbit heroes so you can play cards like The Shirefolk or Vanish from Sight, but I think you goal was to play as many Timely Aid as possible so Halfast Gamgee might be a better choice.
