Would think of adding for card searching (or Gather Information) to find threat control stuff. Nice theme!

I would probably switch Deep Knowledge for Daeron's Runes and add in at least one more copy of Favor of the Valar - 36 is very high starting threat. Neat idea though!

I think FotV is a limit one in the deck. Otherwise, definitely. That threat will get you killed in Anduin. :)

@Raiderjakk The limit is per threat dial while it's in play, not per deck. Cards that limit the number of copies in your deck say "Limit 1 per deck" - for example, Magic Ring.

Hmm. The limit one per player I took to be one per deck as well. The more you know.

Thanks!

Do you have enough eagle allies? to reliably ready Gwaihir? I really think you need more, because Eagles of the Misty Mountains is. card you want to stay in play, not leave play, so basically you only have 2x Meneldor. I know you want Beorn allies, but I would cut most of them and add in Vassal of the Windlord, Winged Guardian, Wilyador, maybe some Descendant of Thorondor, and Eagle Emissary. Also Landroval (to save Beorn). Either that, or swap Gwaihir for another hero, but if you're going to play with him, you need eagle allies to make him actually worth it ;)

@drabblecast Along those same lines, Eagle of the North can't be included in your deck (you include Flight of the Eagles and then set aside Eagle of the North), so you have room for three more cards before reaching 50 cards. Vassal of the Windlord is a really great addition.

I would also recommend maybe choosing a different hero because you currently have the ally version of Gwaihir in your deck which can’t be played with the hero version in play.

Awesome advice guys, much appreciated. You're correct in that it definitely needed more eagles, I was building with what I had while some packs came in, seeing if I could get the engine going with Geowine's and Gandalfs and some of those events, but it was like trying to drive a car by pushing it fast. Was also toying with MotK. Thing is cookin now with more eagles though, and good call with Daeron's Runes over Deep Knowledge.

Why can't Flight of the eagles work?

Updated this deck based on recommendations, and tested her out— huge improvement, and just abundantly lethal. ringsdb.com

Currently the muscle deck in my Birds, Bears, Bards, Brands and Beorns fellowship, where my Dale deck handles the majority of questing, but I plan on tweaking into a solo deck too, for those of us that came to this game looking for opportunities to just roleplay as a bunch of rampaging bears and eagles.

@drabblecast Well, Flight of the Eagles does work; you just don't include Eagles of the North in your deck (you set it aside, and then when you play Flight you shuffle the Eagles into the encounter deck). So that gives you more room to put something else in. Makes sense for this deck to be paired with a questing deck.
