And yet less thanks have we than you. Travellers scowl at us, and countrymen give us scornful names. "Strider" I am to one fat man who lives within a day's march of foes that would freeze his heart or lay his little town in ruin, if he were not guarded ceaselessly. Yet we would not have it otherwise.
--The Fellowship of the Ring, LoTR Book 2, Ch 2, The Council of Elrond
About this deck
A well rounded thematic Dúnedain deck, suitable for solo or multiplayer.
Checkout this deck for an almost identical build that doesn't use ALEP cards and does not include popular uniques (like Aragorn).
How to play
Aragorn starts with Elessar and the resurce icon. This attachment will help with early game defenses.
Mulligan for a copy of A Very Good Tale for an aggressive start. Try to clear The Storm Comes as soon as possible to enable Vigilant Dúnadan, Thalion and buff Thurindir's .
Playing A Very Good Tale during the refresh pahse, before Ranger of Cardolan or Gandalf would leave play allows to play allies for no cost.
Is critical to play a Vigilant Dúnadan early and boost his defense stats with Wild Stallion, Squire's Helm, Spare Pipe and Arwen Undómiel (Elessar does that too but only for a couple of attacks).
As with many Dúnedain decks you can build a favorable board state engaging enemies and playing strong dúnedain allies with Heir of Valandil.
Defend big enemies with Guardian of Arnor (use Elessar for multiple defenses) and smaller enemies with Vigilant Dúnadan.
Sideboard
The sideboard is there mainly for bad quest matchups, like Deadmen's Dike.
I would add Gather Information and swap Heir of Valandil for Knowledge of the Enemy.
