kattattack22 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Battle of Carn Dum - ROC Minimum Purchase Deck

This deck is built for the Angmar Awakened campaign using only a revised Core Set and cards from the Angmar Awakened hero expansion. Given the limited card pool, I'm also playing the campaign using Easy mode and the Grace of the Valar variant.

Piloting

Mulligan for Steward of Gondor. It's important to get as many allies in play as possible. Steward of Gondor goes on Halbarad because the deck is Leadership heavy. Denethor still gets the all Unexpected Courages. This so he can possibly defend twice or more importantly to manipulate the encounter deck. Although getting to manipulate the encounter deck is going to be tough in Stage 2 because of Thaurdir.

The Favor of the Lady and Celebrían's Stone are for Eowyn. The goal is to have Eowyn and Halbarad quest hard to complete Decipher the Ancient Texts. Keep a spirit resource open if you have A Test of Will. Haunting Fog can set you back too much to complete the quest before Time runs out.

Denethor should claim Orders from Angmar ASAP. There are effects that are worse if you don't have a Clue claimed. It will also make it possible for Denethor to defend Thaurdir especially if Mail of Earnur is attached. A Daughter of the Nimrodel is also necessary to keep him from dying in the process.
