Elrond and Gandalf should always make for a powerful combo, but with such high threat there are few combinations to use both of them in a standard 3 hero deck. With the Strider attachment these two can be used in quite a powerful two hero deck combination. Due to the high amount of unique cards, this deck is most viable in solo play, but there can definitely be adjustments made to play with other players, as long as people are willing to part with their own copies of Gandalf. The deck plays very simply, as long as you are familiar with playing Gandalf style decks. Mulligan for Strider which is to be placed on Gandalf's Staff. Ideally Vilya comes up early as well, in order to give Elrond the icon to attach Light of Valinor on him. When these two have this action advantage, the deck really comes into form. Word of Command is a card that is there for those emergency purposes if you feel the absolute need for one of the vital attachments in the deck. Through playing, I found that Elrond is the better target for Steward of Gondor than Gandalf. Since this deck is all about cheating things into play Resourceful can also be used for resource acceleration.
Loving this deck. In my head it's remarkably thematic too, as these two heavyweights guide various allies into whatever role they need to do. I've only got two core sets so added Flame of Anor for thematic punch and one-off readying (instead of a third Unexpected Courage)
