mulligan for Love of Tales its mostly worth 1 res per round
strategy try to get as many pipes out as possible Drinking Song helps, reduce thread (with The Shirefolk and Smoke Rings ) and draw like a madman with Hobbit Pipe and Old Toby.
then get the hobbits with Fireside Song to excellent questers. then soner or later Gandalf appear and handle the enemys. until he comes hide with some Hobbit-sense
with all the threadreducing, Gandalf is usable for a long time.
little tricks:
- start with a Hobbit Pipe thx to (MotK) Bilbo Baggins
- play Love of Tales and get free res from Drinking Song or Song of Healing
- get Spare Pipe or Fast Hitch cheaper because of Nob
- draw a card each round with Nob give him a Fast Hitch as soon as possible
- get missing song (Fireside Song or Song of Travel with Rivendell Minstrel
- attach Wild Stallion on Gandalf
- use Narya on Gandalf himself to get up to 6/6/6/5 with Wild Stallion
it could also work with a different hobbit else than Nob (like Merry, Pippin or Pippin or even Fatty Bolger) but then the Fast Hitch and Spare Pipe will get no discount so it might take 1-2 rounds longer to get a big number of pipes in play
has 55 cards, but you will draw huge amount. (starting with Hobbit Pipe + Nob, + 3 Drinking Song, + 3 toby, + 1 runes , + staff, + Rivendell Minstrel#)
