Premise
Designing an Ent deck for Solo proved quite the challenge for me, Ents are (apart from Dúnedain) in my opinion maybe the trait-based archetype least suited to solo. I ultimately settled on this rather unique lineup (there is no deck on ringsdb so far running Elrond, Círdan the Shipwright and Halfast Gamgee as a Messenger of the King) for a few reasons:
Firstly, Ents are rather subpar questers generally, which a huge issue in solo. Your heroes are all very decent questers and Círdan fulfills the role of readying machine through Narya just as well as someone like Faramir, who I usually like in my Ent decks for higher player counts. Narya is also quite useful for your non-Ent allies like Henamarth Riversong or Faramir (who can be a real lifesaver in quests that require extensive questing).
Secondly, quite a few Ents are located in Tactics and Tactics is generally by far the worst sphere in solo. Elrond helps me remedy that problem with his ability.
Thirdly, Ents like Leadership for resources as well as Faramir. With Halfast's extra resource, a first round Treebeard is feasible, which helps Ent decks a lot. Steward of Gondor on Elrond never hurts as well of course and Drinking Song's full potential is unlocked with a starting Hobbit hero.
Lastly, having a decent defender early on is very helpful in solo (especially if most of your allies enter play exhausted) and Elrond fills that niche quite nicely in combination with Inner Strength. His healing ability also compliments the damage mechanic of the Ents quite nicely.
How To Play
I like to see Steward or Treebeard in my opening hand. Narya in combination with Light of Valinor is also very useful of course. Still, an opening hand with neither of your resource acceleration cards is almost always a mulligan for me.
Considerations
Beechbone (as well as Skinbark) were just not able to make the cut in terms of deckspace, the same goes for Angbor the Fearless. Deep Knowledge is a card I very much like to sub in if I am either not worried about threat or playing a saga quest and therefore have a higher threat elimination level.
