This is probably my favorite deck that I've used so far. And the first I've made that I feel worth publishing.
Inspired by Seastan's Everything costs 1 deck, here is a deck I've titled Back Again.
You have an issue where unless you have an awesome teammate that can give you a resource, you cannot get a Zigil Miner out until turn 2. However this is a perfect deck to pair with a deck full of Deep Knowledge and Legacy of Númenor.
In exchange for the later start, you have Frodo who will make sure you live through that first round. He will also become a great defender for you when equipped with Fast Hitches and a Protector of Lórien.
The combo of Frodo Baggins and Lore Aragorn is pretty well known. And when the deck started I was passing him around to reset threat, but then I'd have little use for Desperate Alliance afterwards. Enter Galdor of the Havens!
You basically offer everyone at the table a complete reset by passing Aragorn and Galdor of the Havens around using Desperate Alliance putting them right back to starting threat and 6 cards again!
When I play; Galdor of the Havens mulligan trying to get a Zigil Miner and Protector of Lórien, with an Elven-light in the discard pile. I Zigil Miner(naming 1) everything onto Frodo Baggins and give him the first Protector of Lórien. Lay of Nimrodel starts letting you quest for a huge burst when you want to get rid of a troubling location/quest. Elven-light+Protector of Lórien = 1 spirit resource for 1 card and Zigil Miner makes sure you have the resources to pay for it.
You get to do some cute tricks with Tale of Tinúviel. I have had 2 in hand and a Protector of Lórien on Aragorn. Discard to Aragorn's Protector, use Tale to pump Galdor of the Havens, then use the second Tale to pump Aragorn. It made him 12 will/10 atk/9def and then I passed him over to a buddy.
End game; I have had almost my entire deck in my hand. Using the Dwarf Pipes I had two Hidden Cache as the only cards in my Library. And used Miruvor to make sure I never drew one at the start of turn. So I could Zigil Miner(naming 0) and put 6 resources on someone.
Super fun deck, and one of the first I've enjoyed just goldfishing.
Awesome! I love what the Dwarf pipe has done for this archetype.
