the one big benefit regarding a gandalf-vilya without radagast is, its easy to play a (cheap) creature and get additional action from radagast. with that Word of Command is much more doable as with gandalf alone (and having 3 willpoer or a defense less)

i think the benefits of Gandalf + Vilya are obvious or known by the most of you, i note some little things that can be done together with Radagast:

• both stafs are out, Eagles of the Misty Mountains is playable this round
• if Radagast's Staff is out, Eagles of the Misty Mountains is playavble with the res of elrond and radagast
• give each wizard a pipe, can be used for Gandalfs ability, for Vilya or for the Messenger Raven
• playing a creature and Lembas, radagast can quest, defend, ready+heal and defend again (or use Word of Command ) in 1 round
• gandalf toys are good targets for Word of Command (from radagast) so they are only once in the deck.
• steward on Elrond with Vilya he then can pay for everything
• using Vilya on Unexpected Courage early in the game is good, you do not have to wait for a 4-cost-ally
• try to play one of the cheap allies (Messenger Raven, Wilyador, Vassal of the Windlord) each round. the Messenger Raven is repeatable.
