This Ally Does Not exhaust to defend, has 6 Defense, is sentinel, heals himself, and can deal damage to the attacking enemy. He is so awesome, I call him Superman.

This Deck is meant to be played in multiplayer. The Idea is to use The Vigilant Dúnadan to defend against EVERYTHING. Yes, it takes a Lot of cards, but once he has reached his potential, he is almost unstoppable. The deck is somewhat complicated, so I have the following instruction sheet of how to call Superman, how to survive without Superman (For only a few rounds), How to build Superman, and How to use your other characters when Superman is in the middle of saving the day.

Part 1: Opening hand.
1: Use Thurindir's Setup ability to add Gather Information into your hand. It will help you get the cards needed to make Vigilant Dúnadan work later.

2: Mulligan For as many of these cards as possible. The Importance of the cards are listed in order from Most to least important:

Vigilant Dúnadan

Elf-friend (To make him an elf.)

Relic of Nargothrond (For extra defense)

Elven Mail (To make him sentinel, and for extra hit points)

Self Preservation (So he can heal)

Spear of the Citadel (So he can damage enemies when he defends against them)

Cloak of Lórien (Extra defense is always helpful)

Note: It is OK if you do not get the most important cards. The Contract and side quest will be able to pull them out of your deck.

Part 2: Waiting for Superman to come and save the day

These are the three rounds before you can flip the contract to side B. If you get a really lucky opening hand, superman could arrive early. However, he will probably not reach his true potential until round 4. However, you usually have key components stuck in your deck, and you will have to wait. The Following are a list of objectives you could complete if the first few rounds.

1: Survive. It is OK to damage your heroes and use the contract.

2: Quest through Gather Information. It will pull cards out of your deck, and enable Vigilant Dúnadan to not exhaust while defending.

3: Save your resources if possible. Lots of resources will be nice at round 4.

Part 3: Superman saves the day.

By Round 4, you should flip the contract At the End of All Things. You get resources and search your deck for 2 cards and add them to your hand. You should now be able to play (or greatly upgrade) your Vigilant Dúnadan. See part 1, and play the cards. Once Superman has arrived to the scene, the rest of the game should be easy.

-Vigilant Dúnadan fights everything. use Spear of the Citadel to gradually bleed your enemies to death. -No defending will be needed anymore, but you must still attack (Unless you are using Spear of the Citadel)

-Now feel free to play the other allies in here. You are no longer saving your resources. Remember, you are limited to two restricted attachments.

If another deck at the table has Arwen Undómiel, you can get +1 defense (and sentinel if you don’t have it yet), too.

Also, if a partner deck has Gandalf or Cirdan with Narya, that’s another +1 defense. And with Cirdan, they can use Tale of Tinúviel to add +4 defense for a single combat phase.

solo, cannot see this deck to finish a sidequest. not enough willpower. solo all about it is winmore. you rarely need to defend more than 2 enemys in a round.

multiplayer it could be a nice option. but you need a questheavy partner. would then perhaps reduce some costly allies and add some cheap weapons and armour to survive until the defender arrives. (Gondorian Shield, Hauberk of Mail signs, weapons, maybe Foe-hammer )

Yes, I always use this deck in multiplayer. I Actually usually use a noldor deck, with Cirdan and Arwen in there.
