LordOfLórien 23
The classic Three Hunters
Three Hunters usually speaks for itself. With Aragorn you fetch Estel first, which gives you the opportunity to scry the top 3 cards of your deck twice a round from turn 1.
You love to see in your opening hand:
Elven-light fodder for Estel and Legolas,
Dwarven Shield to replace Gimli's resources so you can get
Steward of Gondor on Aragorn for his access.
Steed of the North goes on Aragorn for free and let's him quest from the start.
Armored Destrier so Gimli can defend twice from the start, increasing the probability of generating resources.
And of course as much restricted attachments as possible.
The contract can usually be flipped in the 2nd or 3rd refresh phase.
The cards can be grouped as follows:
Fuel cards
Steed of Imladris, Shining Shield and Valiant Sword are free and fill your 2 to 3 restricted slots quickly until you have the cards you need.
Delivery cards
Estel, Elven-light and Unlikely Friendship to draw through your deck and the latter plus SoG, Dwarven Shield and The Day's Rising for your resources.
Restricted cards
explains itself. With Silver Circlet vs. Mirkwood Long-knife on Legolas and Celebrían's Stone vs. Shining Shield and Valiant Sword on Aragorn or Gimli you can adapt to different needs on the fly. It's even easier to adapt with A Fair Exchange. And if the situation changes again, get your cards back with Reforged or new ones!
Fun/Jank cards
The rest of the cards in the deck is win-more for most situations, BUT they have come in handy and saved my heroes in some cases.
Artifacts
The final Restricted Item you want on Aragorn is Andúril. While this card ultimately makes him strong on its own, Ring of Barahir and Magic Ring turn him into a real tank. The latter two cards can of course also go on Gimli (providing only 2, not 3 HP). Elendilmir I don't use very often, but if the scenario allows it, it can provide for a 3rd round of deck scrying per round.
Thematically it needs to go on Aragorn, I only included Aragorn, but any version can be useful depending on the quest. Legolas (and rarely Gimli) may provide for big questing/attack power.
The Free Peoples is really unnecessary, but hey, you get to exactly 9 traits, all they do is questing and readying, so why not.
Final build (in valour) let's you have up to 22 with Legolas and Aragorn at 5 each or 18 with 8 each. Gimli likes his 5.
