Premise
A bear on some well deserved holidays needs a place to stay like everyone else does! Is it a good idea to rent out your apartment upstairs to a wild animal? While the efficiency from a business standpoint is debatable (claws on carpet, honey on walls, a shower clogged by brown hair etc.), you should be in for an interesting ride. Quite a bit like this deck - maybe not the most powerful deck there is, but really fun and unique to play (at least for me). It tries to get the most out of hero Beorn, since forever one of my favourite heroes in the game and is genuinely a blast to pilot, especially in higher player counts when brought against a quest with many low-attacking enemies. In those cases, it can actually be extremely impactful, while still maintaining a reasonably decent level of production in other scenarios.
How To Play
This deck circumvents Beorn's immunity towards player card effects by decrasing the attack of enemies through cards like Keep Watch (which is usually your target for Thurindir) or Horn's Cry instead while preventing damage through various tools like Honour Guard, Vigilant Guard or Loyal Hound. If Beorn is however still beaten up after a few round, chances are that your threat approaches 50 anyways, allowing you to promptly look for either Landroval or The Houses of Healing and play those extremely expensive cards at a hefty reduction of 3. Beorn is then fully recovered to go back to business!
Considerations
Not much here, I had a hard time finding 100 cards worth including. Dúnedain Pipe is good to reinsert Landroval or Houses of Healing into your deck before the contract-flip if you draw them both, but I generally don't consider that scenario very likely. Mablung, Gondorian Shield and The Red Arrow should be included in case someone else is running Éowyn and you are looking for an alternative.
Enjoy!!!
