DangerDragon 1

This deck gets through Mount Doom in 7 rounds, possibly 6 if you get the contract up and running in round 2

The complexity of the contract is you have four heroes, and you are tri-sphere, so we use Erestor to maximize card draw and cheap restricted attachments which tend to be tactics

Eowyn is here for lower threat, access to tactics attachments and her readying and massive hits.

Song of Travel is necessary, to get Herugrim and unexpected courages into play without losing them. Seasoned Forager may not be necessary but I like the insurance policy it gives to Glorfindel.

At the end, as long as you get both Silver Circlets out you should be questing for 27 without using Protector of Lorien. In 7 rounds you will get through about 2/3rds of the deck.

Attachments:

Erestor: 13-17 restricted cards available depending if you get Song of Travel on early.

Must have: A Burning Brand, Protector of Lórien,

Other Restricted: Silver Circlet and/or Silver Harp after Song of Travel, Rivendell Blade, Round Shield, Blade of Gondolin, Dagger of Westernesse, Steed of Imladris

Highly desirable: Golden Belt, Leather Boots

Glorfindel: 18 restricted cards in the deck

Must have: Glorfindel is more flexible with spirit, noldor, warrior traits. Best to get Seasoned Forager on him and Light of Valinor but because of Song of Travel and because raising your treat when Glorfindel exhausts is not so big a deal in a Dire quest it isn’t quite as important.

Other Restricted: Silver Circlet, Silver Harp, Rivendell Blade, Round Shield, Blade of Gondolin, Dagger of Westernesse, Steed of Imladris, Warrior Sword, Bow of Yew

Highly desirable: Golden Belt

Eowyn: 19 to 23 depending on if you put a Song on her. If you put song of travel on and then silver circlet, an unexpected courage lets her quest and then either defend for something like 11 of you have 4 restricted attachments on, or you could attack for something like 15 without her special power (War Axe, 4 restricted attachments, Herugrim, Silver Circlet, 10 willpower) and 24 with her power.

But I have tended not to maximize her willpower and have instead put weapons and readying effects on her.

Must have: Golden Shield, 1-2 Unexpected Courage

Other Restricted attachments: Silver Circlet and/or Silver Harp after Song of Travel, Blade of Gondolin, Dagger of Westernesse, Rohan Warhorse, Warrior Sword, War Axe, Herugrim

Highly desirable: Golden Belt

Frodo: Frodo gets Song of Travel so you don’t need to use the One Ring much. He only has 8-14 restricted attachments depending if he has Song of Travel, so it is best to put things like Dagger of Westernesse and Blade of Gondolin on him.

Must Have: Song of Travel

Other Restricted attachments: Silver Circlet and/or Silver Harp after Song of Travel, Blade of Gondolin, Dagger of Westernesse,

There are many readying effects in the deck. Outmatched is there if you have the unfortunate luck in this short quest of finding many enemies. Rohan Warhorse to use Eowyn to kill many enemies at once, Light of Valinor while not being readying per se, gets an additional action out of Glorfindel.

For weaker enemies you will defend with Erestor and use Burning Brand, Round Shield and Protector of Lorien.

For stronger enemies it will be a choice between Erestor or the stronger defending Eowyn, although you will want to attack with her as well.

Elven-light and Daeron's Runes help speed up card draw either for attachments, questing or defending. Steed of Imladris helps get through locations except for Mount Doom, and Silver Harp helps feed Protector of Lorien and Steed of Imladris. I haven’t ever needed to use Reforged yet, and Power of Orthanc is a little less useful in an Erestor deck but the Dwarven Tomb may help

All in all a huge deck. I had tried it with Berevor first but it didn’t get going fast enough. Erestor is the right choice here.
