This deck combines three main areas of focus: Beornings, woodmen, and creature allies.
- The Beornings are centred around Beorning Skin-changer, which can be sent on the quest and then discarded to put either Beorn or Giant Bear, both of which are powerful fighting allies
- The woodmen aim to put attachments such as Woodmen's Clearing and Woodmen's Path on locations to gain powerful bonuses on Haldan, Forest Road Traveler, and Mirkwood Hunter
- The creature allies revolve around Radagast and Radagast's Staff, which have useful bonuses, and the deck includes allies such as Loyal Hound, Meneldor, and Eagle of the North to maximise these bonuses (note that Messenger Raven can be bought with Radagast's resources)
