Fastred defends for the whole table using The One Ring with Inner Strength, and the ability of Arwen Undómiel, later also some readying from Unexpected Courage and a second return to staging with the Elendilmir. Most allies are just for questing, Arwen gets Silver Circlets and Herubrand gets Snowmane.
The Great Yew Bows are for Faramir and Celador in deck A of the fellowship. With them in play, it's a lot easier for Herubrand to get draw. Galadriel's Handmaiden and Secret Vigil are also threat reduction for other players, most likely deck A if you have to choose one.
