The new Thranduil hero (here represented by Glóin) spoiled in the Fire of the Night adventure pack (#3 of the Dale cycle) opens up a host of new possibilities for the Silvan archetype, especially since he allows the "cheating in" of Silvan allies during the combat phase, during which Tactics abilities can begin harming recently-revealed bad guys.

This deck is nearly a 1:1:1 ratio of Silvan allies, various attachments, and events to keep the Silvan bounce going. Look for O Lórien! or Galadhrim Minstrel in your opening hand, since the first will help you play allies at a discount, and the second will let you pick up events such as Captain's Wisdom, Feigned Voices, or The Tree People.

By mid-game, Legolasand Haldir of Lórien should be powered up with weapons, whereas Thranduil is handling defense and cheating in Silvan allies at just the right moment. In general, you'll be picking off enemies with ease, allowing questing decks to do their thing and get you to the finish line of any given quest. Once your heroes have attachments, don't be afraid to get Bow of the Galadhrim or Rivendell Blade on an ally, in particularly Orophin or Rúmil, since they have a bit more staying power than many non-unique allies. Rumil is particularly good in this deck, since it's likely you'll have several Silvan ranged allies in play by the time you play him.

Designed to be multiplayer friendly, this deck would ideally be using Steward of Gondor over Captain's Wisdom, but I have found it does okay without it.

I'll be running this deck at Con of the Rings 2018.

Edit post Con of the Rings 2018: A Good Harvest can help smooth resources in planning quite nicely.
