Thalion The Steadfast 47

After playing a few variations with the dale decks I always came to the same conclusions. It was either to difficult to steadily play ally cards with the right attachment or without the right attachment on King of Dale it was to expensive.

A deck with hero Gandalf could fix all of these problems. By playing Wizard Pipe and Steward of Gondor on Gandalf i could very precisely target which cards to play and the cost isn't an issue.

Further in the game when played King of Dale and Celebrían's Stone on the same Dale hero it is even possible to play a second Ally's per turn at very low cost ( Does not require resource match). I added one copy of Steed of Imladris to enlarge this effect even more and to discard some of the excess unique cards.

The starting threat of 33 is a bit high but this can be managed with Woodmen's Clearing and Double Back.

The Storm Comes I added to not require a resource match on the first ally so this can be played with some of the many resources on Gandalf, then a second ally can be played with King of Dale and then with Gandalf's ability it is possible to play the right attachment on the right ally.

This deck can be played against a variation of quests as it had a fair amount of willpower with the effect of Brand son of Bain and the Rhovanion Outrider with Map of Rhovanion. Several strong defenders with Redwater Sentry and more than enough attack power with Warrior of Dale and Gandalf with Shadowfax.

I hope you enjoy.
