You know how an typical ally spam deck works: You draw allies, play them in the planning phase, and build up a strong board over time. A very effective strategy, but not really interesting. If you tired of this you might take a look at this deck.

It Plays 29 allies, but in a typical game you play around TWO of them the normal way. The rest? It's all cheating and bouncing. Between Lothíriel and Prince Imrahil you will put two allies into play every round, one for questing and one for combat. You can even cheat more big allies in with help from Sneak Attack, Horns! Horns! Horns! and Elfhelms abilty. If you use one of those effects in the combat phase you can play A Very Good Tale with this ally and the one from Imrahill and get two more allies.

The allies can be divided into 4 types:

  • Allies to put in with Lothiriel: Escort from Edoras for huge questing and Rohirrim Scout to keep enemies in the staging area for Éomer. Those two are good recycling targets for Gúthwinë.
  • Allies for Imrahill: Beorn for a lot of attack and Háma for multiple defenses, who can also be recycled if you have a way to cheat him in from hand. You will chump quite a lot with the Imrahill ally because you don' t have a main defender.
  • Most of the other allies are great for Lothiriel and Imrahill, having decent willower or being able to work as a chump (altough a lot have high enough defense to not be actually destroyed and are shuffled back in).The extra ressource from Envoy of Pelargir is always nice and Faramir can kill enemies you softened up with Eomer.
  • Elfhelm and Gandalf you want to cheat in with other ways, they are great to feed your Very Good Tales.

Mulligan for Gúthwinë or Horn of the Mark to get enough allies to use with Lothiriel. Because you don't play your allies regulary you don't need as much card draw and you can use ressources to use Eomers and Imrahills abilty or can hold Lothiriels back for A Test of Will. At the end you might have a lot on her so you can sometimes hardcast a Gandalf.

This is not the deck that makes the best use of Éomer snipping ability, he's mainly in here to give Leadership acces for the events and the Rohan trait to Lothiriel. The Rohirrim Scouts make him still decent.

Just wanted to thank you for this deck. I have about 4 plays with it under my belt and it has performed really well. I love the synergy between Beorn and Prince Imrahil. So far, the only card that has underwhelmed me has been horns! horns! horns!, but I don't play a lot of multiplayer.

nice deck, would replace 1 spear with firefoot. and perhaps captains wisdom is worth 1-2 thoughts, to get the gear for eomer.

@wkufan89Great to hear that you enjoy this deck. I really like Horns Horns as basically more Sneak attacks, and sometimes you prefer shuffling an ally like Hama or Beorn in the Encounter deck rather than returning it to hand because they can be then fetched by Imrahil.

@doomguard I considered Firefoot, but you normally want to use Imrahil every round, i often find it hard to even get a spear out so the extra ressource hurts quite a bit. I think captains wisdom isn't needed, you are only occasionally sniping with Eomer and there isn't much else to spend ressources on (hardcasting the Knights of the whitetower is not worth it), I alway ended up with to many ressources on him at the end of the game.

Glorfindel would be amazing in this deck. You can sneak him in with Lothíriel, discard a card to ready him, then use his 5 cost for AVGT. Insane! (He also shares trait with Imrahil)
