An attachment focused Gandalf deck.
Eowyn gets:
Gandalf gets:
Merry gets:
- Silver Lamp (I've only ever used this card in combo with Gandalf's Staff)
- Fast Hitch
NOTE: Mirkwood Long-knife and Light of Valinor are intended for Mirlonde who is in the companion deck. If you are using this deck without a target for those you can substitute Narya, more A Good Harvest, Steed of Imladris or Hobbit Pony for Merry, or more of the cards already in the deck for consistency.
Mulligan Strategy.
- Wizard Pipe is the card that makes the deck hum.
- Bilbo Baggins 2 and fetches the Wizard Pipe
- Master of the Forge is almost guaranteed to hit with 32 attachments
- Gandalf's other toys Shadowfax or Gandalf's Staff
- and of course Steward of Gondor is a sick early card.

Jul 08, 2020@Alonewolf87good catch, I can't. I had Elf-friend and Elven Mail in the deck originally to give Eowyn more HP and Sentinel but that seemed overly Janky even for me. I cut them for Protector of Lórien and Silver Lamp without thinking about the loss of The Day's Rising. The easiest way to make Heir of Mardil work is to substitute an Errand-rider for The Day's Rising. Or I could take both cards out and add a third Unexpected Courage and an Errand-rider or a second A Good Harvest. |
How do you play The Day's Rising on Eowyn since she lacks Sentinel?
