While Aragorn is ranging far from home, the Dunedain keep watch over Arwen.
This Vigilant Dúnadan-focused deck starts with a few of the pieces in play.
Thurindir can fetch Keep Watch right away. Starting with (MotK) Arwen Undómiel means that as soon as the Vigilant Dúnadan hits the table, he can start defending for the whole board (without having to draw Arwen Undómiel).
The deck starts in secrecy, and it can stay there for a while thanks to Frodo Baggins, Double Back, Elrond's Counsel, and Gandalf. This allows Timely Aid to give a decent chance of getting a Vigilant Dúnadan into play. It also allows our heroes to pick up Resourceful.
A Very Good Tale and A Good Harvest are also good ways to get the Vigilant Dúnadan into play.
Once he is on the board, our Vigilant Dúnadan picks up a Wild Stallion to get to 3. (MotK) Arwen Undómiel boosts him to 4. She can also keep boosting if enough Spare Hood and Cloaks find their way into play (since the two can simply trade them).
nice idea! but much work to do,
even with explored sidequest he has a standart defense of 5 against non-unique. that is good, but not great. there are so many enemys with 6 out there (trolls, than, nazgul,...) + shadoweffects
i think to make it work you (or the other deck(s)) need multiple shadowcanceling, then it can hit.
i would additional include the Squire's Helm and want the partner with tactic include some round shields
ent drought (by partner) would also be a factor, that can help him, survive high attacks
Blade Mastery (from partner) is a real good event, to defend uniques and immun to playercards-enemys
for the extreme hard rounds Horn's Cry can really shine.
all in all a multiple-card-combo that can work, but is much efford and both (or 3) decks should work for it. if the other deck has stallions too and a bunch of good supporting tacticcards, perhaps some hasty strokes, it could become solid.
