Sorry for the clickbait/pun in the title, but this deck performs really well and I had SO MUCH FUN playing it that I just have to share it with you ;).
This one is a variation on my previous deck that I also love: https://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/19376/gandalfandhistoys-2.0 - many of the strategy suggestions still apply here. I don't want to repeat myself, so I'll add a few tips to what has been already said in the linked article.
I think that this is a very well-rounded set of heroes: you have a quester, defender, attacker/quester, relatively low starting of 26 and 5 resources (which give you a lot of flexibility on your first turn).
- play Sword that was Broken and Steward of Gondor on Aragorn. You will be able to "feed" him with resources from Denethor and play many of the expensive and allies, even without the help from cards like Timely Aid, A Very Good Tale or Send for Aid. With Sword that was Broken in play, Gandalf and Éowyn will quest for 10 all by themselves, which is already ridiculous (and remember - our bearded friend doesn't exhaust to quest).
- Gandalf will "eat" a lot of your , but if you feel that Aragorn's ability is enough to handle it, you may swap Secret Vigil for any combination of cards from the sideboard (depending on your needs). Remember, you can always discard Gandalf if you feel that your goes out of control or when you feel that your table presence is strong enough to handle things without him.
- Errand-rider, Denethor and Gandalf's Staff will allow you to move around or add resources.
- use Protector of Lórien, Daeron's Runes and Erestor to make use of copies of your attachments that you have already played (Galdor of the Havens works really well with those cards, but since there's only one copy of him in the deck you aren't guaranteed that you'll be able to play him).
Feel free to post comments and suggestions ;). Let me know if you had fun playing this deck and whether or not it worked for you.
