cowZarific 65

cowZarific has a newer deck inspired by this one: Lovers and Their Chaperone

I've had quite a bit of fun with this deck. With Aragorn bringing down enemies defense by one already, and being sure to have a resource on Grimbeorn the Old which also decreases one enemy's defense by two when using his ability, things can get pretty crazy.

On top of that, add Warrior Sword and Rohan Warhorse (which is basically Grimbeorn the Old's Unexpected Courage ) then he becomes a powerhouse. At one point I was able to get 2 Spare Pipe and Ent Draught on him bringing him to 9 hit points.

Arwen Undómiel and Elven-light help with card draw and resources being able to give one to Aragorn to pay for red stuff. She is also my main quester because I am usually able to get Windfola on her, and even use Aragorn to quest a lot as well since Grimbeorn the Old does most fighting.

Still I need up Aragorn some with attachments like Firefoot and Unexpected Courage so I can use him to fight some too.

Treebeard is a nice little defense, attack, or quest bonus and I can usually get home out there.

A nice little first hand would be 1 or 2 Elrond's Counsel and Dwarven Tomb could let you get up to 9 threat reduction for bascially one resource and also bosting your willpower that round on Arwen Undómiel.

All in all I've had a blast with this one, and it's worked with 2-player with my wife and just as well with solo. Might try and find a way to heal some, but ya can't have everything

Always a fan of Aragorn/Arwen decks, and there are few with tactics Aragorn, so nice to see him in play. Some fun combos there. What quests have you played against?

Also, nice use of Treebeards resources for Ent Draught! I don't think I've seen that before!

I can't see the Dagger of Westernesse having much use in the deck, other than just +1 attack, so could think about swapping, not sure for what though since it seems like a solid deck overall -- maybe more willpower boost with Silver Circlet? Rivendell Bow to give Aragorn ranged in multiplayer might be fun? Wait no Longer perhaps? Lots of lesser used events could make it into this deck with a solid hero lineup like this, which just adds some variety/fun. Could probably handle a guarded attachment as well. Nice job!

@cazathornI've used this deck for most of the Shadow of Mirkwood cycle, some Ered Mithrin, and the Collector's edition scenario, (The Oath) seeing as it's one of my newer decks I've been slowly going through quests but rather enjoying it! So, I'm eager to try more intense quests with it.

You're pretty spot on with the Dagger of Westernesse not really doing much. It was a cheap +1(possibly +2) to throw in, but the Rivendell Bow seems like a much better use of a card slot. Ranged Aragorn would be awesome.

It's crazy, because I wish I saw this before I went to the board game shop, like an hour ago and picked up to other adventure packs. I was holding Wrath and Ruin in my hand. I ALMOST had Silver Circlet which sounds so perfect for this deck allowing Arwen Undómiel to quest more and and freeing up Aragorn from having to help do that as much. Usually I just have Windfola because my wife uses Éowyn and we just buff up her questing power, but I'm gonna need to get that Silver Circlet lol

Wait no Longer looks to be a good addition, especially in multiplayer, but less threat in solo seems nice too. Gonna have to give that card a test run! Thanks!

Treebeard is just a solid ally, I love using him for whatever seems to be lacking in the current round. And getting Ent Draught really helps with this deck since I don't have much healing.

Seriously, thanks for point out those cards. Really excited to see how it levels up the deck.
