"Have you seen Boromir the Tall by moon or by starlight? I saw him attack for seventeen, over enemies big and strong, I saw him kill in nightmare lands until he broke the game, Into the errata of the FAQ, I saw him then no more."
-All jokes aside Boromir is incredibly strong and this deck seeks to display this power with help from new powerful Noldor by maximizing card draw and resource acceleration to equip him with all his toys while providing solid questing to back up the beast.
Look for A Good Harvest + Steward of Gondor by turn 1 using Galdor of the Havens and/or Heed the Dream. Boromir gets near broken with Steward of Gondor and Blood of Númenor + Gondorian Fire. Protector of Lórien and Arwen Undómiel discard cards to be able to trigger Galdor of the Havens and get great effects. Gandalf and Elrond's Counsel provide valuable threat reduction. The allies mostly contribute to willpower or fill a niche like Northern Tracker with location control and Elrond with Healing. You should be able to get to your pieces for Boromir all rolling by turn two due to the heavy inclusion of card draw. From there you just try to drop down willpower ASAP while Boromir does all the combat.

Aug 08, 2016IMO 3x Gandalf and 3x Elrond's Counsel should be enough for threat reduction :) At least give it a whirl :) |
Personally, I would have dropped Ancient Mathoms and use the slots for Deep Knowledge (but only in solo play).
