I am absolutely in love with Beregond and his threat reducing shenanigans!
I threw this deck together and it has impressed me with it's all around ability. As long as Beregond gets The Day's Rising and blocks all the attacks (and takes 0 damage) your resources are well in hand. It feels great to block attacks from smaller enemies and then spend resources canceling damage from more formidable foes with Livery of the Tower.
Once Beregond has The Day's Rising, and Livery of the Tower, you will almost never fear any enemy. Of course this is only true if you don't spend all the resources he generates, which I found surprisingly difficult to do!
Also, the combos with Sneak Attack, Prince Imrahil, and Gandalf or Galadriel can turn a sour game into an even match, especially if you find another attachment to add on to Beregond. He gets all the attachments, except Celebrían's Stone. Bofur is also great for triggering Prince Imrahil, which means the Prince will always be waiting to help crush your enemies!
As for the sideboard, these are just back up cards in case you need a replacement in multiplayer. Éowyn is especially popular and difficult for me to have in any multiplayer game anymore!
I hope someone can enjoy this deck as much as I have!

Aug 26, 2016Right, which is why Song of Kings is even more necessary then. Good catch. I suppose you could still sneak attack her if you desperately needed a willpower boost. |
Aug 29, 2016Also, I realized that I forgot to add Steward of Gondor. |
Nice deck! I am in love with Spirit Beregond too! Because the threat reduction is FREE, you want to defend anyway. Regarding Sneak attack and Galadriel it does not work. Galadriel only triggers if he is played from hand, and sneak attack puts into play. It is not the same concept.
