This is my attempt at making the definitive Aragorn deck. Aragorn is regarded as a truly noble and courageous heir and one of the greatest swordsman in Middle Earth. I wanted to recreate the feel of wielding a truly epic fighter, while also leaning into Aragorn's inspiring presence and leadership.

This deck makes use of the Gondorian Fire and Blood of Númenor cards, in combination with Steward of Gondor. Roheryn and Unexpected Courage, provide the action advantage for Aragorn to handle all of the combat by himself, once he's strong. Arwen Undómiel and Errand-rider's provide further acceleration to Aragorn's rise, by giving resources. Many of the deck decisions were influenced by Codus and Seastan: https://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/5290/codus-roheryn-s-fire-1.0. I feel that this deck pushes more towards Aragorn as an all-arounder (attack, defense, willpower) though, as opposed to focusing on Roheryn and Gondorian Fire.

Ranger of Cardolan is Aragorn's primary help in early-game combat, when he is weaker. It is also a great sink for Arwen Undómiel and Erestor's resources. Cram and Tale of Tinúviel are less consistent means of combat support, but Tale of Tinuviel is so thematic, and it works often enough, that I had to keep it.

Earlier versions of the deck did not include Westfold Horse-breeder. Adding her made the deck so much more consistent

The deck utilizes a lot of tricks to make sure Aragorn retains as much resources as possible, while still spending lots of resources outside of combat. The decision to play Sword that was Broken becomes much easier when you draw it with A Good Harvest.

In solo, this deck is great at fighting powerful enemies with high engagement cost. It struggles more with swarms of weaker enemies, with lower engagement costs. Multi-player, it's pretty versatile. Make Aragorn as strong as he needs to be, then spread the wealth with Errand-riders and Arwen.

For a fun quest to try this against, try Massing at Osgiliath.
