Cross1205 97

Cross1205 has a newer deck inspired by this one: Support for Eriador

Importan: This is a supportive deck meant to work in tandem with my other deck Defenders of Eriador.

This deck has a Crazy amount of card draw! Cards like Ancient Mathom and Elf Stone are meant to be used by the other deck, so time it well.

Obviously Arwen, Aragorn and Elven Light go GREAT together.

Keep your threat low and leave the fighting to the other player. Aragorn and Glorfindel can survive combat in a pinch, especially when they get buffed by some Signals from the other deck.

This deck does a lot. Card draw, healing, threat management, location controll etc.

Enjoy!

Tale of Tinúviel is a great card to add here. You can exhaust either Arwen Undómiel or Glorfindel or even one of the allies to ready Aragorn and give him +3 to all stats till the end of the phase. This is great because you can exhaust to defend with Aragorn (who packs senteniel to boot) then use Tale of Tunuviel to ready Aragorn before damage is calculated. This boosts all Aragorn's stats by 3 for the phase (boosting him to 5 6 5). This lets you defend a strong attack and then Aragorn is ready with the boosted stats to do something else this phase too (either defend another enemy or hit back for 6)! This effectively gives Aragorn 2 actions with boosted stats in exchange for exhausting a Noldor and paying one resource. Pretty great value, and can really save you life in a pinch (and combos rather well with Light of Valinor).

Note: this can also be played by exhasting a Dunedain character too, and can even work across the table.

Desperate Alliance is great with Aragorn in multiplayer, so you can reduce the other deck's threat. Heirs of Earendil and Deep Knowledge are also great.

@FolcoBoffin great suggestion. What would you swap out?

@LEGOlas I've thought about Desperate Alliance but luckily threat has not been a crisis. Unfortunately I do not own Deep Knowledge yet

@Cross1205. I would probably swap out a copy of The Long Defeat or a Galadhrim Weaver or an Elf-friend (or all three if you want)

This Fellowship looks fantastic. What's the thinking behind Elf-friend and Silver Harp?

Dec 11, 2022 Cross1205 97

@Marctimmins89thnx man. Elf friend is a mistake. It should actually be Elf-stone. Silver harp helps keep cards. When you discard a card for Arwen you get it back

Elf-stone makes more sense! But with Silver Harp, what card are you pulling back? As long as you've got Elven-light, you don't want to bounce it back to hand, right? Or is it for when you don't have Elven-light in hand yet?

@Marctimmins89I actually played it because I used Protector of Lórien a lot so I could diacard cards to aragorn to boost him and get them back. But with Protector of Lórien in my side deck I dont have a lot of use for the Silver Harp. I have got some more tweaking to do.

Ah, I hadn't looked at the sideboard. That makes sense. Thanks!
