Please keep in mind that I don't own the 6 packs from the Haradrim cycle nor the Vengeance of Mordor cycle/Deluxe set.
I think I may have found my favourite hobbit deck that's not yet another variation on Sting Like a Bee. It's based on my good old trusted secrecy deck, but tweaked towards hobbits. And to be honest this line-up of heroes works very well (and it's even more thematic if you think about it). I'm still experimenting with secrecy swarms, this is just another way of achieving the same goal.
Since I no longer use Denethor to allow playing multiple Timely Aids on turn one, you need a little more patience with this deck. A Good Harvest will allow you to play Dúnedain Wanderer and other secrecy cards faster. Try to mulligan for The Shirefolk and some secrecy cards. Drinking Song will speed up the whole process.
Gaffer Gamgee and Resourceful played on Pippin allows you to cycle him on a round to round basis. It's not something you have to set up ASAP, but it's certainly nice to have.
